Has anyone done Foxboro Hot Tubs? Or know anything about their tour?
Got them coming next week, only have second-hand information so far. Apparently they're G____ D__ under a pseudonym, doing a club tour for funsies. Just wondering how badly their crew, if they have one, is gonna beat me up?

The club's policies are a hoot.
| Stork Club Policies | Please wait for the sound tech to set up the mics first before putting your gear on stage. it just slows things down setting stuff up around your gear.
|
That's funny, because I work on a smallish stage and I prefer that the headline band (first soundcheck) sets up before I start running mic lines. This way, they don't put gear down on top of cables and such.
Oh, wait, we do soundchecks and only have two, sometimes three, bands a night.
Oh, wait, we don't have "dedicated" lines that are always specific instruments.
| Quote: | he club's payment policy is: an even door split between bands after door and sound person have been paid from door revenue. ($65: $25 for the door guy, $40 for the sound guy) the rest is all yours.

I suppose it is what it is ...

"Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice."
"Your band isn't good enough for my PA."
"On the Internet, nobody can hear you mix a band."

Andy,
As you may have guessed I am being just a little sarcastic about the Stork Club
As you say it is what it is...
I liked them better in the old location closer to downtown and with the old booker.
The Christmas lights were older and funkier, leftovers from it's previous life as a country and western bar.
Lee
PS: The sound guy only got $25 at the old location as I recall
"if you can't hear Freddie Green, you're playing too loud"...Count Basie
"I'd like the monitors to sound like they've got chapped lips"...Tom Waits
"Grandescunt Aucta Labore"
