Anyone going?
Anyone have a booth I should check out?

Great show to work on, unfortunately I have been busy over the new years period touring with other acts so I haven't had the chance to go back, Check it out, it's alot of fun if you ever get to attend the gig (Alot of international folk artists attend every year)

Hello All,
I'm sure you have heard the myth, and bust, about the duck quack and no echo.
Yesterday I had an interesting experience. I was at a 50th birthday party of a friend of mine. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7934164@N02/2755213067/
The cockatoo was quite wound up and had a lot to say. The interesting part was that he not only mimicked the sounds, but the acoustics of the room the sound came from. So the hammering that was from an unfinished kitchen had very short tight delay. A "Qubert" type water drop sound had long reverb on it.
Very fascinating to me, that it was perceived (an mimicked) as input, not room, to paraphrase Robert Scoville.
Regards, Jack

Hey All,
Just wanted to see if anyone here has a current REO Speedwagon Rider. A client has a bid in for the band and has yet to recieve a rider and I wanted to get a jump on it if possible.
Thanks, Bill

I'll be attending their show at the new venue, "The Venue" at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond. I hear it's supposed to be a very nice venue, and only at 2500 Cap!

About a minute into the song. the audio went dead, and the silence lasted for about a minute, then came back before the song ended.
Could have been my local affiliate's techies pulling the wrong plug, but I dunno if the gap originated at the show.
Scary.

As of today there is a 24 hour limit for editing your posts. After 24 hours the edit button will no longer appear. This should be plenty of time to find and change errors, or to clarify what you meant to say. The new behavior will be in all of the Live SR forums.

Everyone is always talking about the right was to go about things on here, which is great, but wait till you see how alot of the rest of the world go about their work.... a few examples?

| Quote: | Both of the big-name music games are adding innovations aimed at turning gamers into real-life rockers. Guitar Hero World Tour will include a music creation mode that lets players write and upload their own songs. MTV's Rock Band 2 will feature an optional $300 setup that works as a game controller or a real-life electronic drum kit, and the software will train you how to really play drums.

As you guys can tell i'm a newbie, even though i have been an avid reader of the forum for a long time.
I have a few mid sized systems that i have access to (GEO-S&D, sls 960), only my latest system being mine (4 Renkus CSX 121 and a mix wiz) and it is also the least used.
The last 2 year i have been doing shows for churches and music venues, and as of recently corporate shows, before that working for different companies in st louis and phoenix doing audio for small tours (a few larger ones too), and church, bar and club installs.
I am a young guy (21) looking on how to get better at what i do, and also how to really get started in this business, specifically the phoenix or southwest market.
I have only been booking about 1 show a month and i want to book more even if i still have to get the equipment from other sources.
I currently work for a large real estate management company coordinating all of our clients events and installs mostly amx systems. (yeah i know i sold out)
Any advise would be helpful on how to get started.
Thanks
Ben
p.s.
If anyone wants a "newbie" to help them out on the weekend let me know
