There was no audience anywhere on the field. They were in the stands, so we opted to not layout 40 cable ramps.

QSC PLX3402
700wpc @ 8 ohm load
1100 wpc @ 4 ohm load
What would the ouput rating on this amplifier be at a 2.66 ohm load?
How about the current draw at 1/8th power?

Another vote here for the Sennheiser packs. For me its a no-brainer on the senns. I've used the PSM700 and 600's in the past and have had nothing but bad experiences w/ RF interferences (with those systems) cutting in and out, even with the use of shark-fin directional antennas in the mix to provide perfect "RF line of sight" so to speak. When I've used the senns. I've never encountered the issue and even if I did I have the great ease of having the receiver scan for open frequencies, which is a one up from the Shure's. Aside from killer performance, the senns. body back is like half the size of the Shure's, which is an added perk as well.

Just to reiterate what others have said here, the DPAs are the cream of the crop. The best sounding lav that I've used.
But, you have to consider reality. For a community theatre, with a tight budget, the Countryman B3 is a great mic. And frankly, I'm surprised that you managed to upgrade to those. You have to recognize that community theatre isn't going to be professional theatre, and the equipment and budget choices reflect that.
The B3 is still a great lav, and sounds awesome when you compare them to the standard lavs that most community groups use (i.e. the ones that came with their wireless mic systems), such as the ME2 or ME4s, or WL93

I think that the nature of the gear that you are looking at should determine if it is (risky) shopping. I am sure we have ALL learned that there are no free lunches when it comes to buying professional level equipment. Often it is easier and more beneficial to build lasting relationships with your local dealers/reps and distributors, rather then trying to get a deal on the internet.
For me, something like a "b" stock rack case, or cable trunk would be totally cool... a "b" stock mixing board or speaker processor probably wouldn't make the cut. I am a small provider, but I do my best to make sure that my "mission critical" components are top quality and purchased new. I upgrade the non-mission critical stuff as I can with nicer stuff, and so on down the line.

I would appreciate it, as everyone I've talked to on the phone tells me things are in full swing... if this is a scam or something, would be nice to know before I sign loan papers
