I have a client with a very reverberant restaurant space he wants to tastefully work in something to reduce the gymnasium tone of the place. Drywall ceiling and walls, mirrors,full storefront glass wall, hardwood and concrete floors etc...
I don't think he needs anything too scientific, but where does one begin in such a process?
I've seen cloth covered panels and that thick "pressed strands" type panels on other jobsites but don't know what the stuff is actually called or where you get it.
I just do his restaurant chain A/V but he comes to me for advice, so where do I send him. This location is in Ventura CA -I don't know of any specific acoustics firms to even recommend.
So anybody with any experience around this aspect of systems design and install have any advise?
(I'm also going to call some of the G.C.s I've worked with on previous jobs on monday and see if they have any leads.)
