Hello there,
I have the task of spearheading lighting and audio for a small gig at a local venue. Now audio is my world and I love it, but lighting is completely foreign to me. The lighting board is a Strand Preset Palette 32/64. It's a pretty nice board and I used it before just with it's faders, not actually utilizing the que system and computer it has with it. The stage plot is just 16 instruments, something like 4 at the front, 4 at the back, two facing in on either side, and a few farther in the audience facing the stage.
Now this gig is a rock/classic rock concert of sorts. I'm wondering what kind of colours at which positions would make this thing look good, what kind of ques I should consider (switching between different instruments, etc.)
I'm just a complete novice and I have quite a nice chunk of time to play around with the system and try to make it look good with some nice colour transitions, sequences, etc.
Any advice I can get would be appreciated.
