You've never seen a central Right/Left/Center array before?

It's actually a brilliant hybrid of line array and direct-reflected loudspeaker technology. The vertical directivity of a line array coupled with a direct-reflected array results in a sound of indescribable quality. If you look closely, you'll find an astonishing implementation of the latest comb filter technology. I can only imagine the sound quality.

I used to deal with the same cheapskatery on a daily basis. About all you could do sometimes was tell the janitor to relocate the speakers and point them in the general direction of the audience.

This is exactly why when I worked in my high school tech. crew, we kept absolutely none of the equipment installed. It would have ended up like this. Amp racks, processing, consoles, speakers were all portable and put into storage when not in use. That way we could make sure they were set up correctly, and not by janitors.

How about a Sonic Maximizer or the ultimate, the Rane PI 14 Pseudoacoustic Infector http://rane.com/pi14.html?

You just need a good case for those speakers.
