Hey guys... I've been tinkering with LED's since Craig Leerman had the great par can shootout of 2007.
I've had a great time using my 8 .5 watt Weidamark/Colorkey led 64's - they've totally changed the way I do small shows. Bringing 8 led's replaced me bringing 16 conventional pars.
I wanted something bigger and I bought a pair of the Colorkey 1 watt led. I was super impressed, just what I wanted. I was going to order a pile of them...
Then I saw that Divine lighting started importing their own LED's for $199 with free shipping. Same specs (36 1 watt leds, digital addressing, etc)- But these were shaped like source 4 pars (as opposed to aluminum cans) and had gel frame slots. I took a risk and bought 10 (got a quantity discount to $175 a can too.
Out of the box, they feel better than any other led that I have owned... they were heavy, about as heavy as a source 4 par.
The down side - right out of the box was that it each can was missing the third gel frame slot and clip... I called Divine and they now sell the clips/slot as a DIY add on for $12 each. I haven't bought any yet to try. I really want to be able to put top hats on the fixtures to hide the individual LED's.
The output I would definitely say that it is really close to a medium 500 watt par... The color key 1 watt were a bit brighter like a narrow 500 watt par.
I didn't have any shows for a while so I took them to church to try them in a big environment. I put a pair on some spandex, 5 pointing at a black curtain, and the other three I hung on our mid-stage catwalk (30ish feet) as top light for our singers.
I made a profile for them in Chamsys, addressed the lights, and had a party. The lights look great. They don't flicker on camera (I've tried three different cameras - a consumer camcorder, a Sony D35 studio camera, and an out of the box Sony V1U hd camera) NO FLICKER!
The LED's look great both in real life and on camera. They looked great on the back wall and spandex. They "mostly" worked for the top light from 30 feet but that was really stretching the abilities of the LEDs.
I did notice a little flicker on camera doing long fades from one color to the other - in all fairness, every LED I've played with had this same problem. The colorkey 1 watts flickered a lot on camera.
Having the LED's individually addressed let me do some really neato looking chase programs on chamsys... Here are some pictures from church:

Magenta and fake white:

Here is the same LED's used in a smaller setup. I threw 8 behind the band and 2 in front...
The Divine LED's actually make some nice pastels for front light... even the "white" with all the LED's at full makes a nice usable color. (for music at least).
The corrugated plastic was lit up with my colorkey .5 watt led 64's.

Now lets add people:

I love these LED's I want to sell the rest of my LED's and buy more... I do not work for Divine or do I sell their products... I just want to convey a great experience.
Thanks for reading.
