We are looking at April 8-9 for our SMAART 101 class in Chicago. Tentatively, Harry Brill will be joining me for a two day class.
Nothing is firm yet, so stay tuned.
Updates are also on the web site.

Here is the response in the Delay zone. There is a par of UPA-2Ps for mains and a single UPA-1P for delay (per side). It's combat audio (crossfire PA), but this pretty much demonstrates what we attempted to do in a tiny meeting room. The delays were EQ'd to match the response of the mains in the delay zone. Also you can compare the close up UPA-2P response from the previous post to the response 100 or so feet away. Notice the "pinking".

Yes, post more screenshots!
Hey guys from the Chicago Smaart class! Ain’t it cool to see these screen shots and make sense out of them?
Personally, I just wanted to say how much I really enjoyed the Smaart class, and that I really learned a lot. There were so concepts demonstrated and talked about… The whole thing really hit home. There were a lot of “Oh, but of course!” moments too.
And to Harry Brill Jr. and Doug Fowler for sharing their wealth of knowledge and instructing our class, and Cory McKinnon and Geoffrey Miller, for all your time and energy putting this all together, and supplying the rig… A HUGE Thank You!
Meeting fellow Labsters and other industry professionals was pretty cool too, including Mark Meagher and Henry Thomas of Showtyme Sound, Casey Pitchford and Steve from Touch Audio & Media, Adrian Brown from Top Notch Integrated Systems, the FOH Engineer from They might Be Giants, and so many others in class… I wish I knew everyone’s names… There were plenty pictures taken. Hopefully they’ll post here soon. I’m hoping Cory will be able to interpolate the sign-in sheet, and put names to everyone.
I also want to mention Nathan Short and his very experienced assistants at the Wise Fools Pub. Wow Nathan! Not only do you have a killer system (nice install job BTW) and your club is beautiful, I especially like the bathroom walls completely armored with black painted metal diamond plate, and thanks for the RCA to Cat5E tip!
Again, thanks to everyone involved, the full class, and to those I met, that really made this whole thing an enjoyable experience!
