Something I'd definitely like to see, if I can make it, is an explanation of what you consider best practices on digital vs. analog. Setting gain, laying out consoles, working with layers or control groups, and routing, etc, etc. How to get the most out of the differences. Maybe even a section on how to make best use of recallable scenes in different setups. I.e. when to use scenes, what to keep safe, what properties to store with the scene. Differences in using scenes for FOH/monitors. That kind of stuff.
Hope this helps, and that kind of stuff should keep it in the range of things that operators or engineers mixing would use day to day.

He covers this extensively. I think the section in the training material is called "Setting Up Your Console for Mixing", and thoroughly covers gain structure, using subgroups for level offset in order to get channel faders in the sweet spot (high resolution portion of the fader), all sorts of things like this.
Now that digidesks are in the mix (sorry...), I expect this portion will be greatly expanded.

Don't forget that InfoComm is June 15-21 in Amaheim with the show itself on the 19th through the 21st. May be some potential conflicts there.

We're not sure yet. In the past, it has been $595 for three days of the FOH class, and $200 for one day of beginner Smaart training.
This has included lunch and dinner, and believe me, we tend to eat pretty well at these things.
Ask anyone who has attended and I'm confident you will be told this is perhaps the best $600 you will spend on live sound training, and it will last a lot longer than that reverb device.
We may have to raise the price _slightly_, but I just don't know yet. I think it's safe to say it won't go up much, if at all, but it's still early. Certainly you will be able to take both classes for well under $1000.
BTW we'll be using PayPal this time around.

I could not be at the last session (was on tour), but I arranged for the catering remotely. I didn't hear any complaints :)
When we were doing it in St. Louis, we would have dinner at least once at SuperSmokers, who won Memphis in May a few years back. Needless to say, their BBQ was really good.
SuperSmokers went out of business after one of the partners died from literally too much BBQ, AFAIK. There were some other "extenuating" circumstances, but they went down and it was a sad day.
We did BBQ once during last session and I heard it was pretty good, at least for Arizona BBQ :)

Quick question, if you're planning on the first week in June, which days of the week would this be?
Thanks!
